Seva Therapeutic Massage - COVID-19 Response
COVID-19 Response

Well, here I am sending out another update on how Seva Therapeutic Massage is responding and to a worldwide pandemic. As a local, small business, this has definitely been a scary time. It has been easy to allow myself to feel worried, overwhelmed, and stressed out. However, I feel the best way to handle this is to find ways to remain positive. A silver lining in this situation is that I’ve had A LOT of time to do this. I’ve been focusing on what I can control for Seva during this time. This has included working on my continuing education requirements and reading up and staying on top of what regulations and requirements have been put in place for my industry. I want to assure you that we’ve been preparing to adapt to our new situation. It is our intention to go back to serving our community through massage therapy and also by doing our part to slow the spread of this virus. I ask for your patience going forward as this is new and I'm anticipating there will be kinks to work out in the near future.
With that in mind, I’d like to share what changes will be put in place at Seva when we reopen on May 27th:

  • We are moving to online only scheduling. This can be done by selecting Request an Appointment on this website.
  • We are also moving to online pre-payment for all services. If you have a package or gift certificate, simply indicate you’ll be using this in the notes section when scheduling your appointment. To pre-pay: visit the website before your appointment, select Pre-Pay/Gift Certificates, select the service you are scheduled for and check out. You can do this anytime before your appointment. If you feel inclined, there are tipping options available as well. If you or your massage therapist need to cancel at the last minute, you will be issued a refund.
  • Upon arrival at your appointment, please remain outside or in your car. We will call or text you to let you know we’re ready for your session and will meet you to let you in.. As we have enhanced our sanitation protocols between clients, we may not be able to accommodate early arrivals. Your therapist will meet you to let you in.
  • You will then be asked a few COVID-19 screening questions, provided a mask if you don’t already have one, and then will be taken back to your treatment room. For your protection, your massage therapist will also wear a mask.
  • As we are only able to allow one person per massage therapist in at a time, we will not be able to accommodate anyone else in the reception area while services are being provided.
  • We are scheduling more time in between each session in order to provide extra time for our enhanced sanitation protocol. This means less appointments/day. We ask for your patience as this means you may not be able to get in on the day you’d prefer.

Finally, from my heart, I want to thank you for your loyalty, for purchasing gift certificates, and for checking in to see how I’m doing. I am so grateful to have all of you as clients. I look forward to seeing all of you again!

With appreciation,
Leah Noel, LMT/Owner
